The El Paso Paralegal Association (EPPA) is a 501(c)(6)professional, nonprofit organization that was formed in 1982 to meet the growing needs among paralegals for a professional organization to further its members’ development and advancement in the legal profession. Since its inception, EPPA continues to strive to empower all paralegals through its dedicated efforts in providing continuing legal education programs, fellowship, pro bono and charitable opportunities. It is through all its efforts that EPPA supports the imposition of higher standards and mandatory continuing legal education requirements for all Texas paralegals.

Each year EPPA raises funds for various projects, namely we award two scholarships to students enrolled in the paralegal program at the El Paso Community College and purchase certain legal publications for the college’s library. Also, as a benefit of membership, in addition to providing its members with free monthly CLE, EPPA awards two scholarships to cover the fee for the NALA certification exam. Finally, each year EPPA supports a charity chosen by its members and collects members’ contributions throughout the year.
